Shorebird Series: "Good Catch"

Cape May, NJ (Oct)

Herring Gull (juvenal) with fresh catch of mullet. A group of these birds were skimming the water, open billed, to scoop up mullet from schools in the surf. This fellow was bring his catch up onto the beach. Shot on Velvia film at ISO 80 with a 840mm lens at f10 and 1/250sec.
