Heron Series --
"Little Blue Wadding"
Little Blue Heron at Ding Darling
National Wildlife Refuge
Little blues are common waders
throughout the southern states. The black-tip bill and greenish-yellow
legs distinguish it from similar sized waders even in its all white juvenile
form. It has no fancy plumage, which helped spare it from plume
hunters. Shot on Velvia film at ISO-50 with an 840mm lens.
