This beautiful specimen in breeding
plumage was photographed in soft morning light. Even with the soft
lighting the blue lores are almost iridescent and the chestnut breast
and red legs are striking. A flock of about a dozen green's
arrived just before my visit and exhibited a great mix of plumages. The
prior example shows more typical plumage. E100VS film, 1200mm lens
at f-8, 1/60sec. Projected fill flash.
