Great Blue Heron at
Blind Pass, Sanibel, FL
This fine bird was walking the beach at Blind
Pass trying to con fisherman into sharing their goodies. He allowed us (I was
with Darrel Miller) to photograph him for about half an hour. This
portrait against a background of water with breaking waves captures the elegance
of this great bird. It was done on Velvia
film at ISO-50 with a 300mm lens. In the bright sun and reflective sand the
speed was 1/1250sec, and the result is super sharp even at very large print
sizes.
Prints are available in sizes up to 18x24.
Edition limit is 22 prints 7x10 and larger.
